Position: Construction Project Coordinator – Residential Construction
Location: Port St. Lucie, FL
Work Arrangement: Full-time, in-office
Compensation: $16.00–$22.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
About the Role
This position will help organize and coordinate the office side of our active residential construction projects.
The Construction Project Coordinator will work closely with company ownership and our field operations team to make sure project information, commitments, documentation, purchasing, subcontract administration, and follow-ups remain organized and move forward on schedule.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Maintaining project information in Contractor Foreman or similar project-management software
- Preparing and tracking subcontracts, work orders, and Purchase Orders
- Tracking signatures, W-9s, Certificates of Insurance, and vendor documentation
- Coordinating office-side communication with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers
- Following up on commitments, outstanding documents, and promised dates
- Maintaining project schedules, calendars, deadlines, and administrative milestones
- Assisting with purchasing and procurement coordination
- Tracking material orders and expected deliveries
- Maintaining organized project files and documentation
- Preparing information for weekly construction operations meetings
- Tracking meeting commitments, owners, deadlines, and next follow-up dates
- Maintaining an Owner Action List for decisions requiring company-owner approval
- Researching existing project records before escalating questions
- Helping make sure open items are followed through to completion rather than becoming lost between conversations
Candidate Profile

- Comfortable making frequent professional phone calls to subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers
- Able to communicate clearly and professionally
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving construction environment
- Able to research information and bring forward a clear next step when something is missing
- Comfortable learning and using construction-management software
- Proficient with email, spreadsheets, PDFs, calendars, and electronic document management
- Able to work independently while understanding when an issue needs to be escalated
Professional working proficiency in both English and Spanish is required, as this position regularly communicates with Spanish-speaking subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
Construction, homebuilding, remodeling, trade-contractor, property-management, or project-coordination experience is strongly preferred.
Experience with Contractor Foreman, Buildertrend, CoConstruct, Procore, QuickBooks, or similar construction/project-management software is a plus.
